Research fellows who have not yet submitted their thesis can submit an abstract for the Oral Award category as per the guidelines of Sitaram Joglekar/Mangala Bamne of IACR. Only a limited number of abstracts will be shortlisted in this category to present the paper through oral mode [platform], as per the merit of the research work. Along with the abstract, fellows must submit a certificate from their supervisor confirming that they have not yet submitted their Ph.D. thesis. Without this certificate, the abstract will not be considered for shortlisting in this category. Post Docs are not entitled for this category. Two awards are available from IACR as per the norms of the Rajanikant Shivprasad Baxi Award and the Rambhau Kulkarni Award. Additionally, the local organizing committee (IACR 2025) will also provide awards in this category, with the actual number of awards depending on the number of eligible abstracts. Fellows must upload a certificate from their supervisor confirming that they have not yet submitted their Ph.D. thesis. Without this certificate, the abstract will not be considered for this category. Post Docs are not entitled for this category.
The IACR 2025 organizing committee will provide a Poster Award for MD/DNB students. Students can submit an abstract in this category and must include a certificate from the Head of the Department, mentioning the year, session, and subject of their MD/DNB. Without this certificate, the abstract will not be considered for this category.
Scientists or faculty members under the age of 40 (men) or 45 (women) can participate in this category at IACR 2025, for Dr. Virendra Balakrishna Kamat Award / Ramnath Hiralal Jaju Award.
The abstract and a resume should be sent to the IACR office (iacroffice@actrec.gov.in), after submitting the abstract to the online portal.
After the submission deadline, candidates will be shortlisted by IACR (Headquarters) and informed about their selection for competing in this category. Selected candidates must then pay the registration fees and complete the registration process through the portal. The local organizing committee will provide a limited number of travel awards, prioritizing those with lower fellowship amounts and good publication and the availability of funds with the local organizing committee.
